Hello! I’m Caitlin
I make shows that are funny, physical, moving, and tell a cracking story; I work in the UK and France as a director, dramaturg, teacher and performer.
In 2024 I graduated from the professional course at the physical theatre school, Ecole Jacques Lecoq; it has given me a love of movement and visual storytelling, multilingual theatre and (safely) falling off tables.
Before that, I created and performed in devised and improvised comedy shows. I’ve been performing with Murder, She Didn’t Write, the improvised murder mystery since the tender age of 19; it’s a show that started in a room above a pub, and now has a bi-monthly west end residency, eleven Edinburgh fringe runs and a Korean-language adaptation under its belt.
Between 2014-22 I was co-founder and artistic director of the Bristol Improv Theatre, the UK’s first bricks-and-mortar space dedicated to the art of improvisation. Formerly a Polish-Ex Servicemen’s club, this building became home to a bustling seasonal programme of classes, visiting acts and in-house productions, that are still delighting and empowering Bristolians to this day.
