ou reste encore un peu
ou reste encore un peu (or stay here a while) is a poetic and intimate exploration of parent-child love. A young woman recalls her relationship with her late father. This ornithologist, a specialist in migrations, travelled extensively in the Arctic and seemed to understand birds better than his loved ones. What void does this father leave behind? How can we love in spite of absence?
Four performers play the character at different ages: child, teenager, young adult, and finally in her mid-thirties. Each has her own perspective on this missing father. Together - and guided by birds that are like his ghost - they will finally come to understand who he was, and find peace and reconciliation.
Blending theatre, puppetry and object manipulation, ou reste encore un peu is a dream-like journey in which space and time unfold like a picture book as far as the Arctic ice caps, the cradle of migration..
“You're swept away, mesmerised by the simple beauty of the staging, with no artifice and a focus on emotion. A very, very fine show.”
